Scott's Friar Engineering Race Team Finishes 3rd at the Bluewater Desert Challenge

 

On October 14th – 16th Scott's John Deere Race Team competed at the Best in the Desert Bluewater Desert Challenge in Parker Arizona.

The race format was a two day event with 3 laps contested each day on an approximant 25mile loop.  The finish positions for each day are combined for the final result.

 

 

On Saturday the car was driven by Scott Martinez with co-driver Matt Krimple. The car ran flawlessly with no problems at all and secured a 5th place standing for the first day.

 

The second day the vehicle was driven by Matt Krimple and co-driver Dustin Broadwolf. Matt and Dustin came through on short notice; this being the first race for Matt as the driver of the car and the two of them as a team. As in the first race, the vehicle ran well with no problems giving Matt and Dustin a 3rd place finish.

 

The combined results for the two day event were a 3rd place finishes overall for the John Deere Race Team and its 825i John Deere Gator. Scott stated "the Friar Engineering Race Team is pleased with the progress of this year's new race program with the John Deere Gator and looks forward to even greater success."

 

The only hiccup on the weekend was a slight miss calculation on fuel that didn't leave the race car enough gas to get from the finish line to the podium.

 

The next event and the last of the season for the Friar Engineering Racing John Deere XUV825i will be December 1st – 4th at the Best in the Desert Transwest Ford Henderson 250 in Henderson Nevada.
