Here for you... Yesterday, Today and Tomorrow
A BIT OF OUR HISTORY
AA Equipment was incorporated in 1952 where it sold and serviced agricultural equipment for the Citrus industry in Southern California. As the citrus industry began to disappear, AA Equipment changed its direction to the construction industry, selling and servicing many products to this market.
The growing southern California population also gave AA Equipment a great opportunity to sell the same type of products to the growing municipal market, as land was being incorporated into cities. In 1982, AA Equipment was awarded the John Deere Commercial contract and began to focus more on the commercial and municipal markets to sell the entire product line offered under this contract.
AA Equipment was given the exclusive territory for Southern California for all of John Deere's new Golf &Turf product line in 1986. This territory includes San Bernardino, Los Angeles and Orange counties. Our customer base includes golf courses, sports complexes, various governmental identities and commercial landscapers.
The Arizona Machinery Group purchased all assets of AA Equipment in January of 2002, retaining all of its personnel and name.
After 52 years at the same location on Ramona Avenue, ground was broken for our current facility at 4811 Brooks St., Montclair CA, and in November of 2002 was relocated.
Our Golf & Turf territory was expanded in 2003 to include the Palm Desert area to the Arizona Border. Another store was opened at 45-050 Golf Center Parkway, Indio, CA to facilitate its rapid growth in this region.
EZ Equipment was added to the "AA Equipment Group" of Arizona Machinery in October of 2003. At the same time, EZ Equipment changed its name to AA Equipment for uniformity in the "AA Equipment Group". This move also expanded our Commercial and Golf & Turf Territories with John Deere to include all of San Diego County.
In January of 2005, Aros Trailer Supplies was purchased by Arizona Machinery and added to the "AA Equipment Group" of stores. This acquisition gave AA Equipment a store to help serve the Southern end of San Diego County. AA Equipment also retained trailer parts and supplies as part of its product offerings.
In 2008 John Deere awarded AA Equipment both the Commercial and Golf & Turf contract to it's area of responsibility for Clark County Nevada. This new territory also includes the Mojave and La Paz Counties of Arizona and the Washington and Kane Counties in Utah.
Today AA Equipment's network of 5 stores is committed to world class technical support and customer satisfaction, with quality, integrity, loyalty, caring and community as its core values. CLICK HERE for a list of Counties and Cities we serve.
OUR CORE VALUES
- Quality
- Integrity
- Loyalty
- Caring Community
These are the five core values of the Arizona Machinery Group. What are core values? They represent the character, personality and code of conduct for our business. These five little words carry huge meaning for those who work within the Arizona Machinery Group. They are our bedrock - our touchstone - the very basics we will fall back on when making decisions we all face on a daily basis.
QUALITY. It is AA Equipment's intention to present only the highest quality products. While we represent a number of different suppliers, the list is shorter than most of our competitors. We choose to be very selective in deciding which products to represent. Quality should also refer to the people you deal with at the Arizona Machinery Group of companies. We try very hard to hire and keep the best in the industry. Quality products and quality people will result in quality service for our customers.
INTEGRITY, in our eyes, means to do the right thing. It means to stand up for what you believe in. It means don't compromise your principles. As a result, it has a huge impact every day when decisions need to be made and problems need to be solved. If every employee considers each decision and action with his/her integrity and that of the company in mind, we will collectively make many good decisions.
LOYALTY comes from being in business since 1952. In that time, we've developed a number of long-term relationships with customers, suppliers and employees. They are incredibly valuable to us. We are proud to have many employees who have been with us for more than 20 years and several more than 30 years. Many of our customers have been doing business with us for generations; at a time when our business heads into its' third generation. And obviously, we have been loyally representing John Deere since 1982.
CARING is meant to remind us all that when you get right down to it, our business is still a people business. If we always keep in mind that the person we are dealing with, be it a customer, co-worker or supplier, is a human being, and treat that person with human caring and respect, work and life will be much more rewarding.
COMMUNITY reminds us that we are all part of something larger than us. Each department is a community, each store is a community, each entity is a community and the entire company is a community. In addition, we are part of the agricultural community, the golf community, our own local communities and the overall community of mankind. As individuals and as a company, we always need to keep in mind our responsibilities to the various communities we are involved in.
These five core values set a high standard. Will we always measure up? Unfortunately, probably not. After all, we are also subject to the flaw of human frailty. But the idea is to climb to the highest level of performance possible. In discussing these core values with a friend one time, he commented "I never realized how spiritual the tractor business was". If there is a hint of that in our core values, it is because we believe that all of us are here for a reason. One of those reasons is to make the world a better place for those around us. Through our core values, we in the Arizona Machinery Group hope to make the world a better place for our employees, our customers, our suppliers and the communities in which we live.
OUR VISION STATEMENT
To be the best equipment dealer in the world.
This Vision Statement embraces our Core Values and shows our commitment to have the best personnel and processes in place to make us a leader in this industry which other distributors look up to and try to emulate.
It means we will be leaders . . . Not followers.
It means we do the right thing . . . Every time.
It means we embrace the difficult.
It means that we are willing to do what others won't.
